Petr Kubík is a Czech screenwriter and director. Since the age of 15, he has been making short amateur films, which later—together with his passion for travel—evolved into travel documentaries. He later began collaborating on productions covering the WRC Rally and the Dakar Rally. In 2008, he co-directed a documentary addressing homelessness in Prague, the Czech capital. While studying directing at FAMO in Písek, he began focusing on visual effects. In 2009, he worked as a VFX supervisor with Vojtěch Kotek on the project “ctrl EMOTION.” In 2012, he served as a VFX supervisor on the project Cyril and Methodius: Apostles of the Slavs, released both as a four-part series and as a feature-length film. In 2013, he began work on the international road movie Montenegro, which brought together 18 people from 8 different countries and was distributed across Eastern Europe. That same year, he also directed the film Lost Legion for the Hollywood production company Lionsgate. He currently focuses on directing commercials and developing new film projects.
